Random Thinkings
I'm sitting and as usual, I'm thinking of things. Have you ever had a first instinct where everything in you screams "STOP, DON'T YOU DARE TAKE IT A STEP FURTHER." You go ahead and think, "What's the worst that could happen eh? It's a fake voice in my head. In fact, that's the voice of fear."
And so you take that step into what becomes your newest life's regret. *sad yaaaaay!* I keep ignoring those first bad instincts, or bad feelings and they always come back to bite my small butt. I beat myself up about it and think, "If only I had taken things slowly and thought about the long-term stuff." But the thing is, how do you know that it really is a bad thing you're getting into? What if you're about to waste a golden opportunity by stepping back? This always confuses me and so I sometimes find myself in more butt-biting situations.
However, I am happy to say that I have learned a few things:
- Each experience you get in life matters somehow. If it doesn't seem to matter today then it will ten seconds or ten years later. This doesn't mean that you should put yourself through suffering just for the sake of new experiences. Do what you feel is right for you and also not at the expense of someone else's well-being. Don't keep up with things that don't make you feel good. You will slowly lose your light and when that happens, you start to be miserable and it shows physically too. Have you ever met someone attractive but they only speak pure negativity and suddenly you wonder what you were attracted to? Hmmmmm
- We're all learning new things all the time. Take your time on your imperfections and keep up the good things about yourself. Change takes place slowly sometimes. Don't be discouraged.
- You may try and please people but if you're not enjoying yourself while doing so, then you're hurting yourself. There is no point in doing that. We all know that you cannot please everyone. I feel like most people have yet to understand that not everyone will like you. It hurts to know this, but here's another truth, you can't like everyone either. It's life.
- Take care of your mental health. It's so important. You soak up the energies around you consciously and subconsciously. Stay away from the negative ones as much as possible. When your mind and heart feel down, your body will feel like shutting down. It's not a joke and for some people it goes as far as suicide!
That's it for now. I'm not a professional advice person. I still have a lot to improve on my end and some dogs are amazing.
